Every investor is unique, with individual goals that are affected by their personal and financial situation. At the Shimkovitz Group, we’ve developed a streamlined Financial Planning Process that is integrative, interactive and helps us to define a truly personalized financial plan. We call it The 3-D Process. As a client of ours, we will lead you through the three phases of this process, Discovery, Design, and Deployment, and continuously work with you to ensure all aspects of your personalized financial plan are reflective of your current situation.
When we start working with a new client, the first step of our process is Discovery. During this initial phase we’ll ask a lot of questions. We will start by identifying your family situation, occupation, recreational activities and, naturally, your current financial situation. We will also review things like risk tolerance, liquidity needs, time horizon for investment, and any unique tax issues you may facing. By having a thorough and open discussion about your current situation as well as your aspirations, together we can start to plan for your future financial goals.
The second step in the 3-D Process, and potentially the most important, is the design of your financial plan. In other words, what path are we going to take to achieve your goals? Through the discovery phase, we’ve obtained a clear picture of your financial situation, and now we will build a personalized plan that speaks to your current and future needs. We will develop an investment strategy with a risk profile that you are comfortable with.
The final step in our three-part process is deployment. This is where our clients can sit back, relax, and enjoy the benefits of a well managed plan. That being said, we never become complacent. The 3-D Financial Planning Process is cyclical, and as such, we will reconvene with you on an regular basis to re-evaluate the plan and make any necessary adjustments. Naturally, both you and the market will experience changes throughout the execution of our plan, so your customized plan will require constant fine-tuning. While your long-term goals may remain constant, the path that we take may change along the way. This reinforces the importance of client discovery and a customizable design process. Here's how we can help:

This is where we'll recommend - and make - any necessary adjustments to keep your plan moving forward.
